like i said last week was busy. my boys were home for easter break and my husband decided to take the week off also... which means with my 3 LOVES home house work got neglected big time. neglected work and lost of extra messes.
yesterday was when the boys went back to school. so i decided that i was gonna get this sty back into order. my vacuum belt broke the other day and i hadn't replaced it yet, so i decided to sweep. i moved the kitchen table and chairs out of the nook and went to go get my broom. this is what i found, or what i am now referring to as exhibit a:
so i tried to put the broom on the stick and it wouldn't fit. so i enlisted my husbands help and he got it on. so i was off to sweep the kitchen. this is what happened when i tried to sweep:
at this point i realize this is not the correct broom stick. i was tired yesterday and wasn't really paying attention to it but notice the broom head is white and the stick is gray! in my frustration i posted this on facebook:
Me
so i gave up for the day and went and played with my friend! i told my sarah about my vac and broom, and it suddenly dawned on me that my husband probably took the right broom stick when he was working on the truck last week to use as an extension.when i got the boys from school i started questioning them about the missing broomstick and #2 say he took it and he would get for me when we got home. the stinkin' stick was no where to be found we looked high and low. so i decided to fix my vacuum belt since i still couldn't sweep. so yay the vac is fixed.
after i dropped the boys at school i went and bought a new broom. came home and swept. once i was done sweeping i went out to the garage to get my mop this is what i found lets call it exhibit b

so i called my husband at work and asked him if he and the boys have a conspiracy going against me. he laughed! at this point i realize that it was the mop stick that was put into the pantry with the broom head. oh my goodness this keeps getting better. so back into the car and off to target i went. thank goodness it takes 3 minutes to get to target from my house. i was stoked when they opened last year!
so here are all the purchases i made today:
of course i had to pick up a couple extras in the spirit of being tidy. LOL. i mopped and dusted with my new duster today. tomorrow i am going to clean my mirrors with my new streak free cloth. here's to hoping it works!
when i picked up the boys today i asked #2 for the truth on my sticks.
me: so tell me how did the mop stick get broken?
#2: umm i was hitting a tree with it.
me: why?
#2: i don't know
me: what happened to the broom stick?
#2: uhhhh i was trying to make a ninja staff
here it is exhibit c:
me: oh my jesus HELP ME!!! PLEASE
i really had to laugh. i mean i was laughing out loud. #2 thought i'd lost my mind. but it was comical. and you should of seen his face as he was telling me this. it was so CUTE! it was shy, embarrassed, and proud all at the same time. and when he bats his gorgeous little eyes at me my heart melts.

and not to covet your neighbors possessions because after all it's just stuff. my vacuum, broom and mop are just stuff
really hoping my house is a home where everyone can tell that the Lord is alive in our home and feels comfortable and welcome, even if it's not spic and span. chances are my "stuff" will go missing again.

lol that's fabulous.
p.s. i just broke my broom by sweeping too agressively. try explaining that one :)
This is really funny to me, because my daughter is currently obsessed with Wizard of Oz. She keeps using the broom to be the wicked witch and it fell apart just recently. BTW-I would be in soooo much trouble if Target was 3 minutes from my house.
okay this is HILARIOUS, i literally laughed outloud!!!!!! hugs!!! xoxo
