vintage...

linking with gussy today. it's been a while. i missed it.

this should be an easy post but it isn't. i am not a big thrift store junkie. i mean i really enjoy it don't get me wrong but, i just don't have the time as of late. or ever. so here's a few vintage thing i like and wish i had more of.


1. who doesn't love blue mason jars. my momma started me a collection when i was 19.

3. rainbow pyrex. when i got my first pyrex 5 years a go i got olive green. i originally thought that i would stick with one color but, what fun is that so now i am all for the rainbow.

i'm sure you have heard me say before that my hubby is greek. the above photos are of the village  father-in-law hails from. 
it is heavenly... quaint and quiet.

we have had so much fun there WHEN we get to visit. I wish airfare were free. ha.ha.
the white house belongs to our family. the restaurant nest to it with the straw roof belongs to my f-i-l's cousin. they have a bull dog that tosses rocks / pebbles into the water for fun my boys had hours of fun playing with him.


see the large rock. they call it 
god's thumb.
i call it 
i'm having a heart attack.
my husband and boys like to jump off of it. :-/
i like to snorkel around it and look at all the fish that have made it a home.


one morning while i was snorkeling my father in law found an octopus. he gave it to my husband and when i came up to take a break he threw it at me. can i just say it was 
DISGUSTING!
it was dead. they were eating it raw.
 would you like some sushi???


that cute little boat belongs to the restaurant owner. i'm guessing he's bringing in the catch of the day.


my computer crashed with all of my greece pics on it. can i just say the intranet is an amazing thing that i found all the pics of the beach, and they are perfect.

when i first read the email, the first thing i thought was:

LIFE(period)

i tried to narrow this done to something more specific... 

my kids...they definitely inspire me.

my husband... he inspires me. his faith is unending, he's so driven and takes such good care of us. i want to be more like him.

the rest of my family...hello you should see us, we come from all walks of life. we've been woven together by GOD'S hand. we just work.

the world...it's so beautiful! everything in it. 

which lead me back to:

there is beauty and inspiration
 EVERYWHERE

when mr. sun's sunshiney rays are not too hot this is what we do.
