i want to get back to it, so i thought i'd play 20 Questions 

What was your favorite sitcom growing up? Full House

Who's the funniest person you know? My Husband, it's why I married him.

Who was the last person you talked to on the phone?  My girlfriend Nicole. 

Chocolate or fruity candy? Chocolate! Reese's Peanut Butter Cups to be specific.

What music are you listening to right now?  My Mindy Gledhill. I have been listening to Mi Ancla on repeat for over a month. The morning after my Grandmother died, this song came up on my shuffle and it hit me in the most beautiful way. My grandmother is hispanic and she was my anchor, mi ancla.

How is the weather right now?  The clouds are rolling in and i'm so excited for the rain.

What bible verse is speaking to you currently?  "My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing." James 1: 2-3  

What’s your favorite book of the bible? This is such a hard question. My favorite book is always changing with the changing seasons of my life. I'm going to just go with the whole thing is my favorite. 

What’s your favorite ice cream flavor? Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough. HANDS DOWN

What is one of your favorite quotes? "Always be a first rate version of yourself instead of a second rate version of someone else." ~ Judy Garland

Cookies, cake, or pie? Cookies. I ate a gf/df cookie the other day that was 420 calories. I'm thinking i'd of been better off eating oreos.

Do you prefer hugs or kisses? Kisses. I'm not really a hugger unless I really really like you. With my husband and my sons help, we're working on making me a hugger. we have a 3 hugs a day rule in our house. A while back I ran into katygirl at Target and my son said, "Mama why didn't you hug your friend?" for my boy to notice that I don't hug many people broke my heart. a lot. Katy I owe you a hug! 

Back to kisses. I had to get used to them really fast…going to a church that is chalk full of europeans…every greeting you are met with a kiss on your right cheek and then your left. 

Books, magazines or blogs? All of them have a special place in my heart.

What’s your favorite color? Turquoise. 

Scary movies? No. 

Did you get enough sleep last night? Maybe. 

What makes you unique? I freak out over small stuff, but when there is really something to freak out over I'm as cool as a cucumber.

What’s the #1 most played song on your iPod? She will be loved by Maroon Five with 1376 plays. my boys went through a phase about three years ago where this song was all they wanted to hear. nothing even comes remotely close to this number on our top 25 playlist. 

What are the things you always take with you? My prayer rope, my phone and my sunnies.

What is something people don’t know about you? I have a bald spot on my head. It's a birth mark. I got made fun of a lot when i was little and refused to wear my hair in ponytails. Now i could care less. pony tails and top knots all day err' day!

1 Were You Named After Anyone? No. My parents chose my name from a baby name book. Vanessa means butterfly in Greek. 

2 Do You Like Your Own Handwriting? Yes! 

3 What Would Your Superpower Be If You Could Choose One? Fly. My oldest son talks about flying all the time and I'd love to take him for a flight. 

4 Half Full Or Half Empty? Always half full. 

5 What Is Your Favorite Vacation Spot? Ruidoso, New Mexico has the top spot right now. We saw snow (first time for my boys! and had an amazing vacation there over Spring Break.

6 What Movie Would Your Friends Be Surprised That You Like? Well my firefighter and I went to see Safe last night. It kept me on the edge of my seat, which I love thrilling movies like that, and that's not something my friends know.

7 What Are Your Favorite Smells? My baby's smell, my firefighter's cologne, wildflowers, the smell of rain, and the smell of a new book. 

8 Coffee Or Tea? Well, I'm nursing my 10 month old baby so I haven't had caffeine in almost 2 years. I have an occasional iced decaf tea at my Meemaw's, but a decaf white chocolate mocha frap will always win in my book. 

9 Wine Or Beer?Neither! I don't drink & neither does my firefighter. I love that we don't and how that will influence our children. :) 

10 What Is The Best Thing You've Ever Eaten? (Where?) Wow, this one is tough! I'm such a foodie! I'd say the best is my lasagna from my kitchen. I don't ever brag, but I do believe: I am an awesome cook! 

11 Mac Or PC? PC!! 

12 What Are You Listening To Right Now? Nick Jr's Bubble Guppies tv show singing a song ;) 

13 What Career Would You Pursue In Another Life? I'd be an art history teacher. I love art history and I want to change people's lives. I've always desired being a teacher since I was a little girl. 

14 What Sound Or Noise Do You Love? My boys playing and laughing together. Their love and happiness speaks volumes to my soul. I'm teary eyed just thinking of the joy my boys bring me. 

15 What's Your Pet Peeve? Bugs. I killed a scorpion yesterday that was on my hand! And don't get me started on our spider issues. All with a crawling bebe... just imagine how much it peeves me ;) This is just perk of living in the country! I love it!! 

16 Mountains Or Beach? Mountains! I lived in a coastal town near the beach most of my years so I'm very intrigued and amazed by large majestic mountains.

17 Cook Or Bake? Cook. I love both, but I feel I have more control over the meal's deliciousness as I'm cooking. 

18 What Is Your Favorite Dessert? Tiramisu! By far!! 

19 What Is Your Favorite Fairy Tale Or Childhood Story? The Little Mermaid  

20 What Would You Tell The 13 Year Old You? Never lose sight of what is important in life: Family and God because in the end, they are all that matters! Smile everyday and count your blessings. You don't know how good your life is. Stay true to you. Really focus on and make art. You're very talented! You are an amazing girl of God!!

 I tend to spend so much time focused on my little firefighters, my love, 

and our home that I forget about myself.

Bought something for me? Had a hair cut? Oy vey! 

I'm in love with my family and making sure they are properly cared for and my children happy as can be. Thank you for giving me a few moments to reflect on myself.

   Gene Kelly. 
Weird Right…i was named after a man. my mom loved watching his (Gene Kelly's) movies she was mesmerized by his dance moves. When she was pregnant with me i moved around a lot which reminded her of Him. Therefore she named me Kelly. When I was little I wished so bad my name was Samantha like the American Girl. 

2 Do You Like Your Own Handwriting?
    It's ok 


3 What Would Your Superpower Be If You Could Choose One? 
   It would be the ability to fly.

  These days half full! But there was a time when everything felt half empty.

  A tiny little village on the coast of Greece. I’d tell you the name, but then I’d have to kill you.

   The Matrix. I'm not really sure why but I love it. Ooh I also super love Training Day and The Gladiator.

    Taquitos! In Santa Barbara there used to be this little place called La Tolteca right off of State Street. Oh My Gosh! So GOOD. I'm not sure what happened to it.

     I would tell 13 year old self how proud I am of you for sticking to your guns when a certain boy wanted to french kiss and you said no. Even though that lead to him breaking up with you. he was lame. not you. the end!
