lately, 5 things

lately, i feel like life is passing by and i'm not taking the time need to remember. does that make sense? life has been so full and i love it and i want to be intentional about remembering these years with my boys before they are grown. my big man will starts high school in the fall and tiny will start junior high. i will no longer have a child in elementary school. how did that happen? some (most) days i feel like time is the enemy.

so im going to restart my 5 things on friday. today we will pretend that it is friday march 15. i wrote down my 5 things on a scrap paper last week and never got around to turning it into a post...

march.5.2013

1. i love the way my first born smirks, snickers, and shakes his head when i say something stupid. i'd love to tell that i say such things on purpose just to see his smirk. IT.MELTS.ME. but thats not really the case...stupidity comes from my mouth far too often.

2. thursday is my favorite day of the week. it feel like its the calmest,  knowing the following day is friday. i like calm.

3. i love it when my mom and i both have a free evening. she stops by when she gets off of work for a glass of wine and a salad. i also love that i am now in a position to spoil her (fill her belly) a little every now and then.

4. i've been reflecting a lot about when i met my husband. we were such babies. i've said it before and i will say it again. for me it was love at first sight. the second i saw him the my world went out of balance and i knew it would never be the same. i was 14 and he was 17. that was 18 years ago. husband celebrates his birthday this week. how did we get so old?

5. i'm struggling with tiny man. he has been "testing the limits" and we butt heads constantly.  however, i love that at the end of each day he wants to just snuggle and wash the day away.

Good for you for taking the time to reflect. Time does go too fast! Love your reflection. Also love that you get to treat your mom.

wow, high school! i'm already freaking out in my oldest going to middle school next year. and he is also testing his limits every day, but like yours at the end of the day he takes time to snuggle with mom. i love that you and your mom take time to spend with each other. sounds like a great time!
