ME and MY MOMMA had ourselves a girls day.
this is how it started out... i pulled up to her house and this u-haul {below} was in the drive way.
so i say, what did you buy?
oh just a hutch.
um we could of just taken my truck.
oh i hate to impose.
i rolled my eyes. i had no words. i should of known then that she did not just buy a hutch. she also bought a cute little ice cream shop table and chairs, and a wicker chaise lounge. the u-haul was full.
i reluctantly got into the u-haul and she notices and says, are you nervous that i'm driving a u-haul?
who me? NO. why would you say that?
only because it's written all over your face. you're not good at hiding your feelings. don't worry the u-haul i rented last time was twice this size. we'll be fine.
a few minutes later we were on the CA 99.
i must say she was pretty BA driving that big ol'thing.
i would not have been so brave. but, that's my momma BRAVE!
grandma's attic was our first stop.
our next stop was good goods.
we walked inside and Jimmy the owner says, hey sandy (my mom) how are you long time no see?
i mean, first name basis mom? wow she'd been holding out. apparently junking is reserved for her and her bestie. *rolling my eyes* so really i should be thrilled that she took me. haha.
i seriously thought i walked back in time. when i was a little girl my all time favorite book was Anne of Green Gables. This house and all of it's furnishings made me think of Green Gables. There was even an old school house on the property.
I.WAS.IN.HEAVEN.
i could sleep here.
or here.
play here.
cook here. that would be true bliss. this kitchen was so bright and airy.
this was the view from the front porch. my boys would DIE if we had a yard like this. DIE.
Bye Bye good goods. I LOVE YOU!
Good Goods also has a barn with more amazingness inside...
i need these for tiny mans room. NEED! it's probably sold by now. boo.
my conclusion is this. if your momma calls you and asks you to spend the day with her do it. surely it will be full of surprises and fabulousness. almost like when you give a mouse a cookie, but not quite.
