i thought i swallowed my retainer

this morning i woke up in blissful happiness, well rested, and full of energy for .003 seconds at which time i realized that my bottom retainer was missing. as in gone. no where to be found.
i panicked, freaked out, and could not breath. i tore all of the sheets off of my bed. that was not easy seeing how my husband was still in it. trying to find the little sucker.

husband woke up and said: are you ok?
no i am not my retainer is gone.
do you think you swallowed it?
i feel like i would have choked on it, but i don't know it's GONE.

husband rolled over and snuggled back into the sheets i let him keep and said don't worry you 'll be fine.

for the next half hour i convinced myself that i had swallowed it. and i swear i could feel it stuck in my chest. my chest hurt (probably because i worked out my chest muscles yesterday) and then my stomach hurt. i just know i was going to have to go to the hospital and have emergency surgery to have it removed.
i just knew.

husband finally got out of bad and i had a chance to thoroughly search for the little sucker.

i found it, finally under my foot.

what the heck.

isn't that freaking wonderful way to start the day.
it's always exciting around here. ALWAYS!

how's your morning been? hopefully a little less exciting than mine.

Omg this happens to me all the time!!! I kid you not, once I swore I swallowed mine... I looked everywhere and tore my whole room apart. Then, I reached inside my shoe under the bed, and the retainer was inside! So weird and gross, and such a random place for it to fall! It was a stressful hour, let me tell you. Glad you found yours :)
