i went over to visit and bring some ice packs yesterday afternoon, and to my delight my stepmom had been going through her cupboards. she says "you like old stuff right? come see this do you want it."
after squealing a little inside because dad was nodding off on and off i said "Umm YES!!!"
here's what she gave me
how did she know that i have been secretly pinning for this this set for the last 10 years. no joke! it came with 7 glasses. but let's just say it has 6 i really like even numbers. ;-)
so what do you think is it amber, marigold, or orange carnival glass? i don't really know a ton about carnival glass, but i do know i love it!
thankful that my dad's surgery went well and that my stepmom had it in her heart to give me the carnival glass. Yesterday was a good day!

oooh - SO pretty.
my grandma has SO much colored glass stuff (maybe even some carnival glass). i definitely hope to get some of it someday.
a few years ago i went to an antique roadshow type of event - and they were all about the colored glass. i went straight to my grandma's to snag this red glass candy dish (i think thats what it is) i always played with as a kid. she had it put away so it is all mine.
and i LOVE it.
and finds like this. SO. GOOD. right?
