decorating for christmas

i'm feeling this simple style. 

i had my heart set on it. then come my boys…

"mom where are the nutcrackers, the red and green, 

and where the heck are all of our santa's?" 

i was so sad because this is what "i" wanted. 

then this morning i realized that i can decorate more than just the front living space and that i have my very own fire place in my bedroom that's begging for some holiday cheer. 

i can't wait for it to all play out.
