this boy.
he makes my momma heart swell.
last night at church he was chosen to read from the Psalter.
Psalm 145 to be exact.
he read with confidence without stumbling over the words.
when i try to read the psalms out loud the language is so different then how we speak i have to slow way down so i get it right and still, i get tongue tied. not him. he was wonderful.
a fun little fact about the Psalms...did you know in Jesus times that they would measure distance by how many Psalms it would take to get from point a to point b. the faithful would have the entire book of Psalms memorized, and say the Psalms together the entire trip. can you imagine? no idle mind in the bunch. how pleasing to God that must have been, and what an inspiration. WOW!
my worldliness makes me think...
"i bet 119 was a doozy to memorize."
i mean, it's the longest chapter of the bible. almost the exact center of the bible.

speaking of the exact center of the bible
have you seen this video? watch it. it's amazing.
sigh maybe someday i will have more than just a few memorized.
